CBRE Excellerate appoints Nanon Beedassy as Country Manager for Cote d'Ivoire and Advisory & Transaction Lead for the Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa region
CBRE Excellerate, which provides an integrated suite of real estate services across Africa and the Middle East, has appointed Nanon Beedassy as its new Country Manager for Cote d'Ivoire and Advisory & Transaction Lead for the Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa region. Beedassy took up these key roles on 1 March 2020, and is based in Abidjan, the economic capital of Cote d'Ivoire. Prior to joining CBRE Excellerate, Beedassy worked at Broll Indian Ocean, and brings extensive experience in managing and delivering real estate services in Francophone Africa.
“We are absolutely delighted to have Nanon join our business,” said Jonathan Turner, MD, Advisory & Transaction Services Africa at CBRE Excellerate. “This is an important geography for CBRE Excellerate as we continue to grow the depth and breadth of our on-the-ground capabilities and realise our vision to be the leading integrated real estate services provider in Sub-Saharan Africa. Nanon brings a considerable understanding of the region and its challenges, with an intrinsic ability to find solutions and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
Beedassy began his career in the European real estate sector in 2002, and later worked in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean islands. After a short stint as Senior Project Manager at CBRE MAS in South Africa (2008 - 2009), he returned to Mauritius and was a founding member and Director of Broll Indian Ocean (a CBRE affiliate at the time). Beedassy developed the activities of the business in the Indian Ocean region and Francophone Africa territory, whilst also advising several large corporations on their strategies, transactions and portfolio management.
He has worked with the likes of Nestlé, HSBC, Accenture, Cargill, Coca Cola, Standard Chartered Bank, Merck, Novartis, World Bank Group, Airbus Group, Ecobank, CFAO and GE.
“As Country Manager for Cote d'Ivoire, my vision is to expand all the lines of the business of CBRE Excellerate to clients ranging from local companies to multinational and large corporations. As the A&T Lead in the Francophone Sub-Saharan territory, I also have a particular focus in advising occupier clients and helping them to navigate the travails of the region, finding the right solutions to their needs,” said Beedassy.
